I've had this book on my TBR for so, so long that I think i should have kept it there for longer. 1/2 I picked up Beasts of a Little Land by Juhea Kim on a whim, knowing absolutely nothing about it, and I genuinely think it may become my favorite book of the year. The only reason I picked up this book is because I'm currently reading The Books of Jacob and the fact that I haven't made any progress on that one in more than a month should tell you everything about the situation I currently find myself in. It's not that I don't like it, on the contrary, but my brain is still dealing with the aftermath of six months of burnout, and right now I just... can't. That's simply where I am. Theo of Golden has been sitting on my virtual shelves for quite a while. I deliberately waited for the hype to die down because I didn't want my impressions to be influenced by what everyone else was saying about it. (Told you, have I not, that I come bearing reviewS) It has been a while, I know. I come bearing new reviews though and that should cover at least for a bit of my disappearance. The rain has stopped ☀️ "If people could read the same books, they would inhabit the same world."
